The long-awaited festival of lights – Hanukkah has finally come to us. The event dedicated to the holiday, was held under the auspices of Midreshet Yerushalayim. The participants of the intellectual game “What? Where? When?” were able to spend an unforgettable time in the warm atmosphere of the restaurant “Chas poїsti”. The competitions were held and the winners were rewarded with prizes.
Despite the cold Odessa weather, the atmosphere of the event (held on 9 December 2012) was warmed up with Hanukkah candles, participants’ smiles, songs, poetry and, of course, the host.
We lit candles, read brukhot … declaimed poems, sang songs … there was a quiz on knowledge of Hebrew. The fastest responses were awarded tangerines)). It should be mentioned that each participant was offered to read brukhot and to light his or her own Hanukkah candle.
Winners of the intellectual game “What? Where? When “were awarded special prizes. The night lamps that they brought home will remind them about the light of Chanukah, cheerful event, and just about the well spent time.
Certainly nobody wanted to say goodbye and leave, but when the celebration was over, the guests left with gratitude and smiles, and of course with the hope to meet soon).
